Emergency visit to la Asociacion Espanola in Punta del Este (PDE): Heart issues

About 1 hour ago I had an episode of WPW (heart issue) I believe it was because of changing my meds from a US brand to a UY brand. Whatever the reason, this post is not about the episode but the care I was given. I arrived at the la Asociacion Espanola, I drove myself there in about 3 minutes, and they immediately checked me in and put me on a 12 lead EKG which generated an EKG tape for the cardiologist to read and gave me diazepam to calm any anxiety generated by the rapid heart rate. I was then put on oxygen. After the EKG strip was read I was put on a 6 lead EKG and an oxygen saturation monitor as well as an automatic blood pressure monitor. All my vitals were checked and I spoke with the Dr about my meds. I had an appointment scheduled with the Electrophysiologist in MVD sometime in October, but after seeing the WPW and related issues the Dr told me she would accelerate the appointment date. She came back and told me that I would be seeing the Electrophysiologist this Wednesday. All of this took about 30 minutes. At that time I was feeling better and the told me I could go and to call or come back if there were any other issues. I asked if I need to go up front to pay the cashier or arrange for payment and they said (in Spanish) "..that is not necessary you do not owe us anything, we are here to help, hope you have a nice day". In the USA this process, for a non-emergency (not dying right this second) would have taken about 1-3 hours and cost hundreds of dollars. Here I received better, quicker care and I am happy that I live in Uruguay.

Here is me all hooked up and being taken care of. Yes I know I am very white is this picture. My friends in Uruguay promise that the sun and iodine in the salt from the sea (ok?) will make me nice and brown. We will see.
